Pulasthi Wijekoon & Ruwani Dharmasiri graduated with honours and completed Masters of Science in Architecture from university of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka (1998-2004).
Upon graduation they worked for HW Architects & Design Group Five International for 07 years before leaving for Sydney, Australia in 2008 where they currently live & work.
In 2005 Pulasthi received the Presidential scholarship to pursue higher education in architecture and is enrolled for Masters of Advanced Architecture in University of Technology Sydney. Ruwani was the recipient of Prof Peiris award for Best Designer in 2003. In 2013 they led the winning team for an open competition held by SLIA to design an office building for Colombo Municipal Council, Sri Lanka.
They have always been working together as a team and established the practice PUR + Architecture based in Sydney working across a network of collaborations in Sydney and Colombo.
They draw, write, and design as a spontaneous extension to their daily lives. They make spaces, objects & experiences in abstract interpretations informed by the sedimented vernaculars of tradition and craft, which relate to others in varying intensities.
